Ebony veneer over an oak carcase, brass bun feet, pierced foliate frets to the front door and sides, all-sides glazed, cast gold-plated brass fittings, caddy top, vase finals, cast handle with foliate decoration.

Square gilt brass dial, silvered chapter ring, radial Roman hours, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture and date window, winged cherub spandrels, blued steel hands.
Movement
Rectangular shaped brass movement, firegilt, fully engraved with foliate scrolls, 2 hammers / 2 bells, gut string/fusee, verge escapement, short brass pendulum.
