An Austrian precision regulator with a rare Riefler K pendulum, No. 800, DRP 100870, 28 days power reserve - with adjusting weights by Riefler in the original packaging
Case: mahogany, solid. Dial: silvered engraved regulator dial. Movm.: trapezoid-shaped brass movement, Graham escapement with finely polished adjustable steel pallets, counter click work, pendulum spring suspension.
A marvellous regulator with lateral weights, in an unpretentious mahogany case in the style of classic precision pendulum clocks by Riefler or Strasser & Rohde. Winding key and locking key for the pendulum are by Riefler and in original condition, likewise the fine-adjusting weights; everything is in outstanding condition.
According to Abeler, maker to the Imperial-Royal court Johann Greiner worked in Graz circa 1880. Some pendulum clocks by Greiner exist, which are usually held in private collection and hardly ever appear on the market.
