A charming Geneva gold enamel snuff box "The reading lesson"
Case: gold and polychrome enamel.
Rectangular case with slanted corners, all-over with opaque black enamel; lid, base and slanted corners decorated with engraved gilt foliage scrolls, the hinged cover with rectangular enamel miniature of an interior scene of two women and a child with a book. Each panel with narrow gold frames and white enamel borders.
