Rolex "Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner 1000ft/300m Superlative Chronometer officially certified", Case No. X456529, Ref. 16610, Cal. 3135, 40 mm, circa 1993

Case: steel, screw back ref. 16610, screwed "Triplock" winding crown, steel "Oyster" bracelet ref. 93150. Dial: black, luminous tritium indexes and hands. Movm.: rotorwind movement, Glucydur balance.
Rolex introduced the Submariner in 1954; this diver’s watch was the first to be pressure resistant up to 10 bar, a value that was extended to 20 bar within a year and to 30 bar some time later. In 1959 the Submariner was fitted with the Rolex crown protection and in 1966 Rolex produced the first model with a date under the typical Cyclops lens. The Submariner has always been fitted with an inhouse-produced automatic movement and is one of the most famous and most popular watches - and at the same time one of the most copied and most counterfeit models - worldwide.
