A remarkable hunting case quarter repeating pocket watch with quarter hour/half hour and hour self strike - with original mahogany box with mother-of-pearl inlay
Case: 18k gold, case maker's punch mark "MF". Dial: enamel. Movm.: bridge movement, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, tandem winding by pivoted lever, screw compensation balance.
The case band is fitted with four sliders, whose function is described in German: at the top sits the slider for the quarter repeater (REP) and another one for switching the striking mechanism on or off (RUHE/SCHLAGEN, i.e., silence/strike), further down are the slider to choose between quarter hour and half hour strike (1/4 and 1/2) and the slider for using the lever of the tandem wind (AUFZUG, i.e., winding).
