A remarkable, double-sided pocket watch with mock pendulum, compass and animated scene from the Garden of Eden: "The Temptation"
Case: 18k gold. Dial: front - enamel, partly polychrome painted. Reverse - silver, engine-turned, compass with enamel dial, window with very finely engraved balance bridge and mock pendulum, engraved adjusting regulator scale. Movm.: full plate movement, chain/fusee.
The striking front side has an hour ring with Roman numerals at 6. A serpent revolves in one minute around the separate polychrome emblem medallion at 12 o’clock; the medallion shows Adam and Eve and the fall of mankind.
