An elegant, skeletonized platinum pocket watch in an ultra flat rock crystal case studded with diamonds
Case: platinum and rock crystal, inlaid chapter ring with skeletonized radial Roman hours set with rose cut diamonds, triangular bow set with rose cut diamonds. Dial: silver, engine-turned. Movm.: bridge movement, gold screw compensation balance.

A rock crystal pocket watch from Cartier New York, 1929, which reveals the 19 jewel movement, by Jaeger-LeCoultre, signed by the European Watch & Clock Company, in the Cartier Collection. Rudoe states "...the partnership between Cartier and the Parisian watchmaker Edmond Jaeger. From 1907 until his death in 1922, Jaeger worked exclusively with Cartier, and his firm had a contract with Cartier until 1933. Jaeger overcame the technical difficulties involved in producing ultra thin but superbly accurate mechanisms."
