An aviator's automatic chronograph - no 5. of a limited edition of 20 pieces produced for members of the 1st Air Transport Wing of the Air Force in Penzing (I LTG 61) - with original box, original certificate and operating instructions
Case: steel, screw back, reeded bezel, screwed crown, original buckle. Dial: black, LTG squadron emblem. Movm.: rotorwind movement, hack feature, Glucydur balance.
This squadron watch made by Tutima is a special memento of the first operational squadron of the German Luftwaffe. Tutima produced a small series of 20 pieces for members of the 1st Air Transport Wing of the Air Force in Penzing (I LTG 61) in 2002.
The dial shows a variation of the former squadron crest with the checkerboard and a Transall flying in. The air transport squadron will be dissolved by the end of 2017 and the Transalls will be replaced by Airbus A400M planes.
