An exquisite quarter repeating pocket watch and an early lever escapement
Case: 20k pink gold. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, chain/fusee, three-arm steel ring balance.
Tardy states that the watchmaker Charles Binétruy worked at Rue Guénégaud in Paris in 1806; from 1810 on he worked at Rue de l'Abbaye until about 1840.
