An ultra-thin and very rare "bezel winding" minute repeating pocket watch
Case: 18k gold. Dial: gold. Movm.: bridge movement, 2 hammers / 2 gongs, screw compensation balance.
The extremely flat (7 mm) pocket watch is based on patent no. 64738 filed by Audemars Piguet in 1913 - the repeater is activated by turning the reeded bezel. We only know of very few watches of this type. A similar Audemars Piguet bezel winding minute repeating pocket watch was sold at Sothebys for USD 31,250 in their 6/18/16 NY sale.
