A very rare and exquisite gold enamel pendant form watch, studded with half-pearls "The French Tulip"
Case: gold, enamel, half-pearls. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, verge escapement, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance.
The hinged enamel petals have been painted true-to-life; the lower part of the flower is decorated with translucent red enamel on engine-turned ground, with green Champlevé leaves growing from a stalk. A ring of half-pearls runs around the middle section of the flower, with four lugs attached for short gold chains that are suspended from a single ring.
