An ornamental pair-cased gold-mounted agate pocket watch with verge escapement and quarter repeater for the Russian market
Case: outer case - gold, smoke-coloured agate, paste stones. Inner case - 22k gold, rear bell, signed movement protection cap. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, 2 hammers, three-arm steel balance.
The outer case is made of smoky agate medallions with chased gold fittings in the shape of rocailles, volutes and flowers. The back is decorated with a flower of cut paste stones, the bezel on the front is also studded with paste stones. The inner case has an open-work rim and lavish floral engraving.
