A small ship's chronometer with 48h power reserve
Case: mahogany. Dial: silvered. Movm.: brass movement, 65 mm, chain/fusee, spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw, bimetallic chronometer balance with 2 screws and 2 weights.
Clement Harris was a pupil of George Margett and later became a master of the Clockmakers Company. From 1816 to 1842 he worked as a watch- and clockmaker in London. Harris supplied chronometers to the East India company.
