A gentleman's rare dress watch with double wheel duplex escapement
Case: 13k rose gold. Dial: silver. Movm.: bridge movement, ring balance.
Carl Komenda became a master in 1817 and worked in Vienna; he was particularly known for his exquisite form movements. Komenda died in 1830 and in 2009, nearly 200 years after his death, he was honoured with a picture of one of his pendant watches on an Austrian postal stamp.
