A fine pocket watch "répétition à cuvette" with chain/fusee, sold at 5/5/1808 to Monsier Albert for 1200 Francs, resold to an English colonel on June 2, 1814 - with extract from the archives
Case: 18k pink gold. Dial: silver, engine-turned. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, signed, 2 hammers, chain/fusee, shock protection "parachute", "èchapement à ancre anglais", three-arm brass balance.
This timepiece combines all of the features that are typical for the style of Abraham Louis Breguet.
- A solid case with engine-turned design, model "Collier" by Breguet‘s master case maker Joly.
- A signed silver dial with central engine-turned pattern with distinctive numerals and the striking blued steel hands that take their name from Breguet himself.
