A decorative gold enamel verge pocket watch with corresponding gold enamel chatelaine
Case: 18k gold. Dial: enamel. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance.
The back of this fine timepiece is decorated with a scene of a young lady in vintage garments at an altar of love that is decorated with a portrait: holding roses in her hands, she walks towards the altar where a small Cupid stands. The painting is on a background of translucent cobalt blue enamel on engine-turned ground; the engraved case band is made of two-coloured gold.
