An exquisite diamond-set miniature pendant watch in the shape of a ball with bezel winding
Case: gold enamel, engine-turned and translucent light blue enamelled, star ornaments studded with diamonds. Dial: enamel. Movm.: 3/4 plate movement, cylinder escapement, ring balance.
This watch has an ingenious keyless winding movement where one half of the ball is turned to wind the watch.
The high publicity that the charming ball-form watches received lead to a wide variety of materials and designs used to create these so-called "boules de Genève".
