Case: steel, glazed movement. Dial: black. Movm.: bridge movement, Glucydur balance, hack feature.
Officine Panerai's automatic calibre P.9002, entirely made in-house, is used in a number of Luminor 1950 and Radiomir models. The design of this movement is quite unique – two barrels guarantee a power reserve of 72 hours and the calibre also has a date indicator and a seconds reset device, which means that the watch can be synchronized perfectly with a reference time signal. A specially made version of the Luminor 1950 case was designed for the movement; it keeps the proportions of the original case but has a slightly less convex sapphire crystal so that it is only slightly higher than the bezel. Calibre P.9002 is a variant of the P.9001 automatic calibre.
