A gentleman's fine automatic wristwatch with tourbillon, date and 52h power reserve indicator - with box
Case: 18k gold, screwed on back, back winder, AP gold buckle. Dial: white, radial Arabic numerals, window for tourbillon cage, leaf hands. Movm.: oscillating weight wind movement, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 8 adj., 22 jewels, very fine titanium tourbillon cage, Glucydur screw balance.
Audemars Piguet "Tourbillon Automatique"
In 1991 Audemars Piguet launched the world’s first wristwatch with tourbillon and self-winding mechanism as well as with power reserve and date indication. The self-winding mechanism was constructed with an oscillating pendulum. The titanium tourbillon revolves at 1 rotation per minute. Illustrated and described in G.L. Brunner/Ch. Pfeiffer-Belli/M.K.
