Case: gilt, paste-set bezels, the opaque polychrome enamelled back panel decorated with a very fine portrait of a young woman holding brushes and a colour palette in her hands, on a cobalt blue translucent ground over engine-turning; flower paillon border set with ornamental stones, case maker signature "Leton". Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals, signed, paste-set Directoire hands. Movm.: fine full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance, engraved and florally pierced balance bridge.
