Case: mahogany box, brass inlays, applied bone signature shield "J & T Barclay, 10 Jamaica Terrace, West India Dock Road, London", screwed on handles, with lid and glass, case key, brass gimbals and bowl, three-body. Dial: silvered, signed, numbered, "To H. M. The King of Norway and Sweden", "Prize Medals Awarded 1860, 1862, 1864" sunk Rom. numerals, auxiliary seconds, gold spade hands. Movm.: brass movement, polished, decorated, moulded pillars, chain/fusee, spring detent escapement, blued screws, "Kullberg"-chronometer balance with 2 weights and 6 screws, freesprung helical balance spring, chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
