A fine, small Directoire Pendule with quarter hour / hour strike
Case: ormulu, toupie feet, plinthe with meander decor, slanted corners with fluted pilasters and flower surmountings, glazed front with bead decor, sound holes with open work brass grilles and blue silk lining to the sides, engine-turned bezel, arched top with the angels with pine cone finial. Dial: enamel, Arabic numerals, signed, pierced and gilt Directoire hands. Movm.: circular brass full plate movement, keywind, 2 hammers / 2 bells, locking plate, round movement pillars, 2 barrels, anchor escapement, silk suspended pendulum.
