A very fine miniature carriage clock in a lavishly decorated Cloisonné enamel case
Case: brass, gilt, polychrome Cloisonné enamel decor on a light-blue ground, "Anglaise" case, facet glazed front and top, top with engraving: "21 Aout 1891", moulded base and cornice with dentil pattern, the corners decorated with finely cast 3/4 columns with Corinthian capitals, waved handle decorated with Cloisonné enamel. Dial: polychrome Cloisonné enamel, white chapter dial with blue radial Roman numerals, blued spade hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full-plate movement, solid movement pillars, 8-day power reserve, fine platform with lateral lever escapement, screw compensation balance.
