Case: mahogany, domed top, moulded, front with open work brass grilles, sound holes with open work brass grilles and lining to the sides, dial under a domed glass, brass bezel, glazed back door, lever "N/S" to set strike/not strike, screwed on monogram plaque "J. W. E. C.", four brass bracket feet. Dial: enamel, radial Roman numerals, signed, pierced and arrow-shaped hands. Movm.: rectangular brass full plate movement, signed, florally engraved, 2 barrels, gut/fusee, keywind, 2 hammers/2 bells, baluster-shaped movement pillars, short pendulum.
