A rare gold enamel fob watch in the form of a padlock, studded with half pearls
Case: gold enamel, engraved and chased, decorated with Champlevé enamel; hinged front and back lids with enamel medallions in the shape of escutcheons: the front with two doves on a blue ground, the back with Cupid sitting in a rosebud, polychrome enamelling, semi-circular lug with blue and black enamel pattern, gold dome. Dial: polychrome enamelling, gold-coloured radial Roman numerals on a blue ground, black enamelled centre with engraved star, gold arrow hands. Movm.: full plate movement, gilt, chain/fusee, keywind, three-arm brass balance, pierced engraved balance bridge.
