A very heavy hunting case precision pocket watch with Girard Perregaux' patented three bridge movement for the American market
Case: 18k rose gold, polished, tiered, à goutte, reeded band, monogrammed, gold dome, case maker's punch mark "JFP" (Jens F. Pedersen, New York), glazed movement. Dial: enamel, radial Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, signed: "Jens F. Pedersen, New York", blued Breguet hands. Movm.: three bridge movement with platinum bridges, nickel-plated, ground, signed: "Patented March 25th 1884, Girard Perregaux", screwed gold chatons, gold screw compensation balance, freesprung blued Breguet balance spring, counterpoised lever.
This watch has a three bridge precision club foot lever escapement with the parallel double-headed arrow gold bridges that were so typical for Constant Girard; barrel, gear train and balance are aligned.
