"Right from the start the company Patek Philippe & Co. specialized in the production of pocket chronometers and onboard chronometers such as marine chronometers and deck watches; this brought them success in national and international chronometer tests. Since 1900 they were awarded 764 prizes by the Geneva observatory - 187 of them were first prizes. In a time when other manufacturers reduce their product range to their bestselling items, Patek Philippe have always retained the complete spectrum, from the simplest to the most complicated of all watches - the Grande Complication. And this was never at the expense of quality but always ensuring that the highest standards were met in design and production, fine regulation and service."
