A gentleman's rare gold enamel pocket watch with cylinder escapement
Case: 22k gold, border on front and back side set with half-pearls, the back cover engine-turned and translucid enamelled with a light green and golden pattern against a cobalt blue enamelled background, case maker's punch mark "JD", glazed movement. Dial: enamel, radial Roman numerals, blued spade hands. Movm.: bridge movement, cal. "Lepine", keywind, frosted, gilt, ruby cylinder, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the index, shock protection "parachute".
