An ornamental Neo-Renaissance table clock with lavish enamel painting
Case: brass, bronze and polychrome enamelling. Domed round base on four paw feet, polychrome enamelling: two genre scenes surrounded by flowers and foliate scrolls. On the base stands a knight carrying the oval clock case on his head. The case with an eagle on top is ornamented with polychrome enamelling and flanked by lion heads. Front with hinge, inside with foliage enamelling. Dial: brass, chased and multi-coloured enamelled, engraved brass cartouches with inlaid Roman numerals, blued Breguet hands. Movm.: bridge movement, frosted, gilt, keywind, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance.
