ZenithEl Primero Automatic-Port Royal Titan
An extremely rare neo-vintage titanium wrist chronograph with full calendar and moon phase
Sold
This titanium 'Port Royal' was produced for only three years (1984-1986) in a mini series of 230 pieces only. The black dial has three windows for the calendar display. Two show day of the week and month in English while a date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Subdials for the small second, the 30-minute and 12-counters in combination with the moonphase are spread evenly over the dial. The outer tachymeter scale completes the sportive appeal of the watch. The red accents on the dial are particularly attractive, making this ‘Port Royal’ a real eye-catcher.
Illustrated and described in: Manfred Rössler, "El Primero - der Chronograph", Forstinning 2015, p. 30.
The watch is first-hand and in excellent condition. It was purchased in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1989. The original box has been lost, but has been replaced by a white Zenith box.
This watch comes from Konrad Knirim's extensive collection of military timepieces.
