Firegilt brass case, profiled, the walls with screwed-on, openwork decorative grilles with acanthus and fruit basket motifs, long pusher for repetition at "11", 3 baluster feet and 3 ornamental baluster feet, rear bell.
Dial
Brass, firegilt, engraved foliage decoration on the edge, applied silver chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, gilt centre with engraved acanthus scrolls, blued steel hands.
Movement
Hexagonal brass movement, firegilt, applied floral decorations, chain/fusee, two engraved hammers in the shape of grotesque heads, verge escapement, three-arm iron balance, finely decorated, openwork balance cock with birds of prey.

Wilhelm Koeberle was born around 1648 in Wasserburg on the shores of Lake Constance and married 1688 in Eichstaedt. He is known to have been a very prolific maker of mainly table clocks and carriage clocks. Today many of his pieces are in the possession of different collections and museums. Koeberle died in 1720.
