The Patek Philippe reference 130, which came in different variations (in yellow, pink, white gold and steel, as two-pusher chronograph, or - in rare cases - as monopusher chronograph), is without doubt one of the most remarkable and desirable classic chronographs, the famous Geneva brand ever created. The model was launched in 1934 and is an embodiment of the elegance and perfection of watchmaking in the golden era of mechanical wristwatches.
Reference 130 impresses with its timeless and harmonious beauty. A traditional round case houses the superior mechanical chronograph movement. The dials come in different variations, but are usually sober with a clear layout, with dot or bar indexes, Arabic or Roman numerals and well-aranged subdials for chronograph function and tachymeter scale. The hands are always elegant.
All versions are powered by the legendary calibre 13-130, a hand-wound chronograph movement loved for its accuracy, reliability and beauty. Collectors and experts alike not only admire the technical sophistication of this movement, but also its historical significance in the development of classic chronographs.
Today reference 130 is considered an icon, which combines technological feats with aesthetic perfection and historical prestige.
