This impressive mantel clock plays the Westminster, Whittington and St Michael's chimes with 8 hammers on 8 bells on the quarter hours. The largest bell strikes the full hours. Seven bevelled and partially curved faceted crystal glasses form a dome over the precious 9-part chime. The clock has an automatic chime adjustment and an automatic night shut-off between 10.00 pm and 7.15 am.
Kieninger was founded in 1912 by Joseph Kieninger (1872-1936) in the Black Forest and is thus the oldest existing manufacturer of mechanical movements for grandfather, wall and table clocks in the world.
