IWC / Intern. Watch Co.Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante
A large, limited-edition platinum split seconds chronograph
Sold
The Portuguese Chronograph Rattrapante reference 3712 was first launched in 1992; it is fitted with the rattrapante mechanism as invented by Richard Habring and retains the typical design of the "Portuguese family". The Chronograph Rattrapante is distinguished by a third push-button for starting and stopping the split-seconds hand. Beyond the capabilities of a pure chronograph, this also enables a second short period of time to be measured with down-to-the-second accuracy.
This platinum Portuguese Chronograph Rattrapante catches the eye with an attractive pattern of matted and polished surface areas as well as a very clear and tidy dial with applied Arabic numerals and beautifully curved leaf hands. The blue drag pointer and the blue 30-minute-counter hand ensure easy readability, The watch is in overall excellent condition and represents the no. 27 of a 250-piece limited platinum edition.
