The Corum "Golden Bridge" is much more than just a wristwatch, it is a true piece of horological art. The unique linear arrangement of the movement, which appears to float inside the fully skeletonised case certainly raises the bar in terms of design and technology.
The prototype was created in 1977 by gifted master watchmaker Vincent Calabrese, and was later bought by Corum, who based their legendary Golden Bridge on Calabrese’s design. The most distinctive feature of this watch is the vertical baguette movement, appearing as a slim golden bridge in the transparent case. The sapphire crystal front and back allow perfect visibility of the high precision movement.
