In 1988 the Submariner reference 16610 was launched with the new calibre 3135. This timepiece features a steel and gold combination (reference 16613), for which Rolex created the designation Rolesor. The combination was first created in the 1930s, and emphasises the typical features such as bezel, winding crown and bracelet perfectly.
This timepiece is in very good condition. After almost 30 years, the case still has sharp edges and kept its strong presence, as has the bezel. Dial and hands are perfect. In accordance with the "U" serial number the dial features a Super-LumiNova coat, despite the tritium designation.
