Reference 1807 is a rarity among the Day-Dates and with good reason. The magnificent bark accents on the bezel and the inner links of the bracelet make this watch a true eye-catcher. The bark décor was produced from 1959 to 1977 and is highly sought after by today’s discerning collectors. The gently stepped champagne-coloured "pie pan" dial blends perfectly with the general aesthetics of the piece. The gold indexes feature a dark inlay for better readability. The watch is in excellent condition, is sold by the original owner and was purchased in August 1972, which is documented in the original bill that comes with the watch.

The Rolex Day Date, also known as "Rolex President", was a true milestone among wristwatches. It was the first watch featuring the novel Cyclops lens to display the date and show the day of the week at the 12 o’clock position. This groundbreaking innovation quickly made the Day-Date a symbol of class and style. The watch was soon regarded a true icon, which was never available as a steel version but was only ever produced in precious gold or platinum.
