Together with Rodanet, Gannery, Leclerq and F. A. Lange, Vissière is counted among the students of Joseph Winnerl, Paris. The very design of the chronometer shows the influence of this master craftsman and the school derived from Breguet. The clear-cut design without unnecessary embellishment and the finely grained gold-plated full plate catch the eye immediately. The chronometer and its original box are in excellent condition and can be considered a typical example of the customised French high quality chronometers of the Breguet-Winnerl range. To be noted also is the spring suspension typical for Vissière, effected in a U-shape by two bronze/brass springs
