The watch manufactory Longines was established in 1867 by Ernest Francillon and produced their first own movement calibre 20A in that very year. This calibre with 20 lines has a lever escapement and a device for winding and setting the watch through the pendant. The mechanism was honoured at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867. 125 years later Longines paid homage to this invention with a hunter watch in a limited series of 500 pieces.
