The case back has been finely ornamented with engine-turned stars and dots pattern and translucent cobalt blue enamelling in a frame of pearl border and gold cords, which are repeated on the front of the case. The caseband features enamelled ribbons alternating with strings of gold, creating the illusion of a wrapped band.
