A large vintage wrist chronograph with tachy scale, Spillmann case

This beautiful Eska Watch Co. vintage wrist chronograph sits in a two-part steel case by Spillman, a renowned casemaker for brands such as Patek Philippe or Rolex. It features large round chronograph pushers, a wide bezel and angled lugs. The 38 mm steel case is in excellent condition. The black dial displays luminous Arabic numerals and a tachymeter scale at the edge.

C.R. Spillmann produced cases for a number of Swiss makers such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Longines, Piaget, Audemars Piguet, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Universal Geneve, Zenith, Doxa, Bovet and others. The angled lugs and the two-part case design are distinctive features of the Spillmann cases. The construction comprises a design, where bezel and case are made from one single metal block; only the caseback was detachable, increasing the robustness of the watch.
