The watch manufactory Antoine Martin was founded in 2011 by Martin Braun and his business partner Bruno Jufer in the vicinity of Lucerne.
The brand’s first creation was the Quantième Perpétuel fitted with a fully proprietory mechanical hand-wound movement calibre AM 39.001.02 - 60 jewels, 18,000 revolutions per hour, 324 parts, two mainsprings.
The hand-wound movement calibre AM 39.001.01 is fitted with a modified "Swiss lever escapement". The HPE (high-performance escapement) module contains antimagnetic silicon parts which significantly increase the accuracy of the timepiece and is also fitted with a twin mainspring construction for the winding system. The coaction of the two springs produces enough energy for a power reserve of up to six days. The 17.5 mm movement, which has an extra-large balance and is made of grade 5 titanium, is light as well as firm.
The case as well as the dial of the Quantième Perpétuel show varied surface areas. The dial is easily readable. Wide central hands show the time of the day without a second hand present. Vertical windows at 10 and 2 o’clock display day of the week and month. A date display over two windows is positioned at 6 o’clock. A subdial at 12 o’clock displays the leap years; a simple AM/PM indication sits at 9 o’clock.
