Rolex introduced the Submariner in 1954; this diver’s watch was the first to be pressure resistant up to 10 bar, a value that was extended to 20 bar within a year and to 30 bar some time later. In 1959 the Submariner was fitted with the Rolex crown protection and in 1966 Rolex produced the first model with a date under the typical Cyclops lens. The Submariner has always been fitted with an inhouse-produced automatic movement and is one of the most famous and most popular watches - and at the same time one of the most copied and most counterfeit models - worldwide.
This model comes in elegant 18 K yellow gold with a black bezel and dial featuring attractive diamond indexes. It is in almost mint condition. The case and bezel are very beautiful with extremely few signs of wear. The crown guard is still glued, the 3135 movement is spotlessly clean and the bracelet is perfect.
