The light-coloured dial with a guilloche pattern shows the different phases of the moon in midnight blue and is beset with 17 0.12ct diamonds representing the Ursa Major constellation. The design is a result from a cooperation of Backes & Strauss and Franck Muller and was created to honour Sir Thomas Harriot, who was the first British astronomer to make a drawing of the moon circa 400 years ago.
