The name of the 1815 stands for the birth year of Ferdinand A. Lange, who was the founder of the German watchmaking industry in Glashuette. Its design is shaped by tradition: blued hands that stand out from the solid silver dial and make for easy reading; Arabic numerals and a minute ring that reminds us of a railway track.
The mechanical A. Lange & Söhne 1815, reference 206.025 is powered by the manual-wind calibre L941.1, revealed by the transparent sappire crystal back and renowned for its outstanding functionality and superior precision. It features the distinctive ¾ nickel silver plate with Glashuette stripes and an exquisite hand engraving by Steffen Petermann on the balance cock, documented by the enclosed certificate describing the beautiful engraving on the balance cock.
