The Datejust II continues in the tradition of the classic Datejust dating from 1945 and possesses the same fine beauty as its legendary role model. The original Datejust was the first automatic and waterproof wrist chronometer with date indication on the display; readability was greatly improved by the cyclops magnification introduced in 1953. The Datejust II launched in 2009 presents all the functions of its predecessor in a larger, 41 mm case size.
This timepiece has a solid steel case and bracelet and a white gold bezel which, together with the grey dial, creates a very attractive monochrome look. All numerals and stamps are perfectly legible, the silvered dial and the hands are immaculate. The "Oyster" bracelet shows some few signs of wear, but is in all-over excellent condition.
