Reference 5711 was launched in 2006 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary. While the watch retains the traditional aesthetic design of the "Jumbo Nautilus", several new features have been added – the model is now fitted with a central second, a date window and a crystal caseback that reveals the in-house automatic calibre.
This Nautilus reference 5711 is part of a series of interim models produced from 2007 to 2009, still bearing the Geneva seal on the movement instead of the Patek Philippe seal the maker introduced in 2009. In 2006 the first reference 5711 models were still fitted with automatic calibre 315 SC, which was replaced in 2007 by the more modern 324 SC calibre with 28.800 A/h beats and other updates.
