The Deepsea Sea-Dweller reference 116660 was launched in 2008; the watch has an unostentatious black dial with large luminescent indexes and hands to ensure easy readability in the dark. The case is watertight to a depth of 3,900 m and the bezel is unidirectional with 60-minute graduation – these features make the Rolex Deepsea one of the most resistant watches for divers on the market.
The "ring lock system" patented in 2008 distributes the pressure on the case under water evenly. The cambered sapphire crystal sits on an inner steel compression ring, which – in combination with the titanium case back and its support ring – reduces the amount of stress on the case considerably.
The accompanying guarantee card, which comes in a green Rolex leather card wallet is labelled with the country code 218 for Portugal. The watch also comes with a spare link, operating instructions, a booklet and a Rolex seal tag.
