This fine timepiece is in outstanding original condition. Age-appropriate signs of wear are proof that the case remains unpolished and is in original condition. Serial and reference number are clearly legible. The dial and hand feature tritium luminous material and are perfect.

1969 marked the beginning of the second generation of the Tudor Submariner, an era that lasted until 1999, which was when the series appeared in the catalogue for the last time. From 1989 on reference 79090 replaced the Tudor Submariner without date and was available with blue or black dials and matching bezels. The model featured luminous Mercedes hands, with the Tudor logo placed just underneath 12 o’clock and the waterproof label just above 6 o’clock. The indexes at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock are triangular instead of square.
