The Deep Sea Master Mariner, called "Barracuda", was first introduced in 1967. As a professional diver's wristwatch, it is particularly characterized as robust and reliable.
The matte black dial is set with tritium hour-markers and luminous steel Baton hands, centre seconds, an aperture for the date and a bidirectional rotating inner bezel. The bezel has a 60-minute division and indicates the decompression time. The 37 mm tonneau-shaped case has two oversize, shaded crowns. The crown at 2 o’clock sets the bezel, the second one at 4 o’clock winds the watch and sets the time. The case back is heavy with an inner, super compressor area, which increases watertightness in greater depth and compresses it further under higher pressure.
This Barracuda watch is in excellent condition with sharp, angular edges as well as original hands and luminous mass – certainly a must-have for any lover of charismatic vintage timepieces.
